Bluff Cove · The Central Coast · Est. 1974
Twenty-four light-filled rooms above a quiet cove. Sea-to-table dining, a saltwater pool, and a concierge who knows every tide and trailhead.
The Marisol
We opened in 1974 as a twelve-room inn with a hand-painted sign and a single rule: never block the view. Five decades later we're still small, still family-run, and still pointed at the water. Every room catches the light. Every meal starts at the harbor a mile down the coast. And the cove below is yours before breakfast.

A king bed and a slice of blue
Up one floor, the Cove King frames a clean line of Pacific blue from the bed and a private juliet balcony.
Floor-to-ceiling ocean, a sitting room, and the best sunsets
A full corner suite with wraparound glass, a sitting room, and an unbroken view straight down the coastline.
A two-level loft under the eaves with a 270° lantern
Tucked under the gabled roof, this split-level loft climbs to a lantern room with windows on three sides.
The good life, included
A heated saltwater pool on the south deck, ringed with loungers and shade, open from dawn until the stars come out.
Two treatment rooms and an open-air massage cabana on the bluff. Book the sea-salt scrub; thank us later.
A switchback stair drops you to a quiet stretch of sand and tide pools — towels, chairs, and a packed picnic on request.
Tides, trailheads, tasting rooms, and the reservation you couldn't get. Our team has lived here for decades.
Complimentary bikes, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, and binoculars for the gray-whale migration each spring.
Gather around the open fire at dusk for a nightcap, a s'more, and the kind of conversation that runs long.
Beyond the gate
Tide pools at the doorstep, a lighthouse trail, an oyster bar in the village, and wine country twenty minutes inland. Our concierge maps it to your pace.
Time it with a morning low tide and you'll find anemones, hermit crabs, and the occasional octopus. Our front desk prints the week's tide chart.
An easy bluff-top path leads to the 1890 lighthouse and the best whale-watching perch on this stretch of coast. Pack the binoculars from your room.
A handful of blocks of bookshops, an oyster bar, an ice-cream window, and Saturday's farmers market. We'll point you to the good stuff and away from the rest.
